Hi all,

A reminder of our PCM tomorrow, 12pm BNL time.

Please note the addition of a new agenda item at the start of the meeting, entitled “sPHENIX physics program with silicon trackers”.

We have been asked to discuss, as a thought experiment, the expected sPHENIX physics output with the detector in its current configuration at this point in the Run (i.e. including the silicon detectors and the TPOT, but not TPC). This question comes out of a discussion between C-AD, BNL NPP, and sPHENIX/STAR about Run-24 strategy, and is NOT meant to be interpreted as the new sPHENIX goal for Run-24.

It would be useful if we could have a broad discussion on this topic tomorrow,

Dennis

Hi all,

We’ll hold our usual PCM this Friday, July 12th, at 12pm BNL time, draft Indico page here: https://indico.bnl.gov/event/24149/

Since the focus in the previous PCM was on low-level offline QA from the sub-systems, this week we will turn to QA efforts that are one level higher. In particular, we expect reports from the Topical Groups on offline QA for calorimeter jets, photons/neutral meson, and local polarimetry.

See you Friday,

Dennis
