Minutes shift change 2023-04-18

general (Stefan)

- Carriage power and water shutdown Friday morning 7:00am - 11:30am
- If you do any work in the IR that might trigger alarms, please notify the shift leader in advance! 
- computer usage:  don’t put large files in home dir, which is backed-up.  Talk to Martin if you need anything special.

evening:  Oliver
- nothing

night:  Charles
- not eventful
- turned off EMCal digitizer racks for EMCal work (Joel)
- TPC cooling water/pressure gauges
   - not properly connected

day:  Sean
- busy day
- EMCal racks were off for most of the day for work
- now on, Tim doing testing
- Rob and Steve looked at GUIs and made list of things that needed to be fixed
- TPOT work
- INTT testing (Itaru)
- rack alarms due to work in IR

MBD (Mickey)
- students are working on cleaning up cables near rack; after that will test noise level again

HCal (Hanpu)
- one sector tripping, don’t know yet why

EMCal (Sean)
- ongoing work
- tracking down signal cable connections

TPOT (Hugo)
- turned on LV, played with FEE, took data, plugged in temporary LV cable, no showstoppers
- noise situation has improved by itself (other detectors’ cables shielding?)

TPC (Jin)
- operating N with cooling on
- John was operating N last night
- Rob still running adjustment of cooling
- in coming days expect turn-over to shift crew
- for now LV under expert control unless alarm

INTT (Rachid earlier today)
- plan to install new q-pack for bias to get to nominal voltage
- interlock test postponed since bias was found to be not connected to interlocks yes

MVTX (Cameron)
- DAQ1 chiller (turned off for several days b/c of abnormally high temps)
  - still reading high temperatures => faulty component
  - spare chiller will come online
  - expect shift crew to monitor chiller soon
  - system test started this morning by experts
    - three problematic connections, investigating

sEPD (Hugo)
- light guides are being installed

DAQ
- see separate DAQ meeting after shift change

Magnet (Kin)
- He gas being purged
- eventual cool down takes 10 days

Gas/cooling water (Hugo)
- Rob is fixing some fittings on TPOT TPC cooling panels (leaks)
