Commissioning and running of sPHENIX

Dear tracking detector and tracking experts, dear all,

 

In tomorrow's commissioning task force meeting (Tuesday May 23, 10:00AM) , we will follow up with last week’s meeting and discuss “Detector -> Data -> Offline” and preparation towards the first collision data, including the time-in strategy for trackers. Specifically:

 

•                     Action items from last meetings

•                     Status of joining global triggered data taking; what portion of detector successfully readout in this mode

•                     Any online analysis demonstrating data quality? (e.g. any checks such as checking raw hex data, ddump, pmonitor, online-debug TTree, online monitoring, TrkrHitSet-based analysis? )

•                     What is the strategy to time-in the detector, so hits belong to the same triggered events can be passed onto offline analysis

 

To that end, we have asked the experts to fill out the dedicated google doc (*) before the meeting.
