Subject: [Sphenix-run-l] Tandem down. MCR expects no beam until 8:00 am tomorrow

Dear all,
There was a failure in one of the tandem tanks at 1:00 am
this morning. The drive chain broke. CAD is working to bring up the
second tandem while at the same time repairing the
tandem that just went down. Their current estimate
is for earliest beam restoration is tomorrow morning, 8:00 am.
We have permission to go on restricted access in 1008.
If you would like access send email to Stefan, Kin and me,
with a description of the work and time estimate.
We are not planning to open the bore, but other work
in the IR is possible for the next 20 hours.
