All,
please be aware of increased temperature settings to reduce the electricity cost today. Any other possible effort to reduce power consumption will help the RHIC Run.
Thank you, Wolfram

Colleagues,
As expected, the hot and humid conditions are putting a strain on our cooling systems. In these situations we start taking incremental actions to curtail the impact. Please see below for the steps we are taking today and most likely tomorrow.
Let’s all do our part, turn off lights and AC when not needed, and make sure windows and exterior doors are closed.
Thanks, Tom

Good morning FPMs,
In response to extreme temperatures and an almost 5x increase in electricity cost this afternoon we are planning to operate in Tier 1 demand response (+1F setpoint above normal in offices) after 12:00pm and Tier 3 demand response (+3F setpoint above normal in offices) from 3:00pm until COB. Operations will return to normal after the pricing peak.
Please let our team (CCed) know if any issues are reported.
Thank you,
Benedetto
