Commissioning and running of sPHENIX

Probably after our “complaint”, the Access Control Group (ACG) of C-AD now keeps sending us the warning below when their work may impact 1008.    But since our 1008 IR/Assembly Hall and Gas Mixing House are

ODH areas anyway, so we should have been “familiar” with the ODH practice => get out if there is ODH alarm.

 

The ACG wants to finish installing ODH strobe light in 1008B before ~Jan. so that they can start scrubbing RHIC.

And then, they need to do the same for other service buildings 1002B …. 1012A before early Feb. in order to have the 45K wave going (if it’s allowed by the BHSO by then).

 

I just talked with Darren Hillis (the person who sent the email below).  They’re working in the weekends for this, definitely this Sat. and Sun.  They won’t work on Dec. 25 but they may work on Dec. 23/24  and then Dec. 26.

He claims at least 😊

All,

 

C-AD Technicians will be working in building 1008B running cables for new installation of ODH components tomorrow and the next day. There is not an anticipate effect on mode or any functions within 1008IR, but there is always this possibility when work is being performed.
