Commissioning and running of sPHENIX

Dear all,

To make it as the official output, please find the summarized outcome of the meetings. 

INTT

1. Let’s aim for using only one official package of software. Takashi will send the current used decoder to Martin and Martin will update the official decoder accordingly to have all features accessible e.g. BCOs on FEE (= channel) ID level. 

2. Once #1 is implemented, Joe and Takashi will make the BCO matching efficiency plots.

3. Observations of BCO stuck / abnormal BCO in INTT streaming mode which could be because of data corruption. Joseph and Raul will continue to look into those runs and discuss how to deal with it. 

We will not switch back to streaming mode until these problems are resolved.

TPC

1. Big concern for the low GL1 matching efficiency in noZS 6x6 data (ZS have still the elink drop issue so we should not make premature conclusions)— Jin is debugging into those data 

MVTX

1. Good runs have very high GL1 matching efficiency. However, there are ways that could lead to data drop e.g. DMA buffer full in endpoints. Need to look into details as a function of time and confirm the matching is recovered.

2. #1 will be followed up once Joe (discussed with Chris) implement and test of speed up the production / combining procedure 

More future prospects

Once these items are addressed (+ all needed TPC tests are done), at some point we should do a set of throughput test runs to see how much data we are dropping with full streaming + Calo-ADC systems.

We should also aim for a followup meeting later this week / early next week. Details of the meeting to be announced later.
