Dear all,
We want to share the status of the ongoing cosmic tests at highbay in BNL by
Lehigh & CU team. (Thanks to Dan for the help!)
Please find the attached slides for details. @Rosi if you could open an
agenda for the last meeting I could upload them there too.
It looks the new SiPM works good (and better than the previous one).
Also, we reduced the distance of the scintillators and sEPD sectors to
increase the rate & purity of the test data.
The summary of the main points what we have so far :
1. Rate increased by reducing distance of the two scintillators / reduce also
distance b/w sectors
2. New SiPM shows better performance than before (slide 3)
3. Still suggest for 1day data taking per sector to ensure the clear mip peak
— low statistics in lower channels found in some previous runs
4. Coincidence & Isolation cut applied using pedestal cut
5. Plan to finish tests for all remaining sectors and in the meantime decide
if retested of previous tests are needed
Best,
Micah and JaeBeom
