Dear all,

This is an update regarding some ongoing activities here and sorry for being late for some items which have been discussed middle of this week.

1. SiPM box & cables

1) Cable length test for SiPM box location

After having discussion with John and Eric, we came to the conclusion that we will not do the “rope” type of test.
The reason is because there are many ongoing things in the floor and many of the floor plates are bolted down with/or additional things which makes it difficult to have a good measurement.
Also, as John mentioned in the sepd meeting, since we have to clean the floor it would make more sense to put also the cables in at the same time rather than doing just the length test.
So we will find a time to put all the cables in and if the length does not fit, we will adjust the router or put a connector on them with additional cables extending the length.

2) Cable test

Currently we are out of label paper and waiting for them to arrive (Eric ordered new ones this week).
In the meanwhile, I tested all 48+4 meritec cables which pass all the test and pre-bundled them to label them easier.
Next week (perhaps Monday), I am going to finish the labeling as soon as we get the new labels and then discuss when those cables should go in.
There are also TP/SC cables in the list for the labels and Eric brought them to highbay. We will label them also next week together with the remaining meritec cable labels.

2. Sector cosmic tests

Tests are smoothly going on and we have so far
- 9 sectors “good” in all odd & even side
- 1 sector “1 tile broken” in tile #2
- 16 sectors / 8 days left for 03/17 (Fri.)
- Additional 2 sectors will be tested afterwards

***For things to be tested/performed here in BNL next week, we can perhaps coordinate also with techs as well as people coming from Lehigh. @Rosi, please let me know if you want me to arrange something early next week.
Anyway, I am planning to join a couple of engineering meetings in the morning next week.

Best,
JaeBeom
