Hi all,

I spoke to Chris, John Haggerty and Frank. We should have a tech assigned to put together one of the strongback petals on Monday.

Best,
Micah

Hi all,

Sorry for the noise.
We found the package. Please ignore the previous message about the missing slice plates.

Best,
Jaebeom

Good to know we can assemble the one strongback petal tomorrow! We were able to check the tracking number and find out it was delivered and signed for. It was probably sent to the Light Source building but it might be best for John Haggerty to follow up on that since he was the name everything was shipped to. Either way we can ask around tomorrow.

Best,
Micah

Hi Micah,
Thanks for the update.  Were you able to get information from FedEx on the splice plate?  Please keep after this one.

You actually do not need to wait for this to test a single strongback frame - there are only 2 splice plates and they will go on at the very end once the entire assembly is mounted to keep the ends by the beampile from moving.

Rosi

Hi all,

Today the strongback sector frames were delivered to highbay. Jaebom and I checked both that each individual sector was flat and that each six sector frames fit together on the optical table that was cleared off for us. No noticeable warping or other indication we would need a replacement or modification to them was found.

Before we assemble a sector, we need one piece from the Xometry order. The splice plate was delivered to BNL Monday morning, but has not yet been brought to the highbay. After it has been brought to the highbay, we can have a tech assigned, assemble one strongback petal and test that the sEPD sectors will fit into the assembled petal, or if any need to be rewrapped. Soon after, when the petal carrier is assembled, we can put together the rest of the petals.

Best,
Micah Meskowitz
