Hi folks,

the patch for the new inner hcal to put the geometry node on the node tree seems to work - the Fun4All_G4_sPHENIX.C does not complain anymore and runs through when reading in the newly generated hits files. The new output (1000 events each) goes to /gpfs02/phenix/prod/sPHENIX/sunyrefnewinnerhcal. The lower energies are done already but the 50GeV particles might still run tomorrow (just check the file date before opening them). Sorry about the confusion today - I punted the geometry issue by setting the cell/tower/cluster reco option in the steering macro to false and then forgot about it. Now we have 100 events with the old inner hcal implementation under /gpfs02/phenix/prod/sPHENIX/sunyref - if someone wants to compare those setups.

The updated magnet John just send around will be implemented tomorrow.

And ... drum roll ... sPHENIX code ran under a STAR account (using the sphenix setup script) which is a nice confirmation that we don't have any hidden dependencies on the PHENIX universe. Kolja came across a little issue when creating an executable (we normally use shared libraries) which required a one line change in fun4all but it should be possible to find a common solution for that.

Another plan is to get the sPHENIX code installed on another cluster which will teach us how to deploy this outside rcf without afs on an SL6'ish OS.

I'll see you tomorrow,

Chris
