sPHENIX discussion of software

Hi folks,

the demise of gcc 8 came faster that I thought. The updated ACTS version 
we use now does not compile with gcc 8 anymore and the code was just 
merged into our software. I therefore stopped the daily gcc 8 builds. 
They will stay around, if you need them you can still source the sphenix 
setup script directly:

source 
/cvmfs/sphenix.sdcc.bnl.gov/gcc-8.3/opt/sphenix/core/bin/sphenix_setup.sh -n

There won't be any more maintenance/updates for the gcc 8 environment.
