This is what I was thinking for the beam splitter (obviously not geometrically correct). One less splitter overall, only two types (33/67 custom? and 50/50 off the shelf), and it can easily work with 4 lasers instead of two by removing the first splitter. The catch is the coupling of the fibers won't be in a straight line without mirrors, but I think we can live with that.
