Hi Tony
Thanks for scheduling these. I will invariably be a bit late to these because my class finishes at 9am and typically 10 or 12 students ask questions after lecture (there are 550 students in lecture so this is actually not a large fraction). I spent some time after the meeting yesterday chatting about IBF with Jamie Dunlop and he graciously made a half dozen unsolicited calculations on our behalf last night and one more today.
I've asked for permission to forward his mails, but even if I don't get that permission, I can also redo the same myself and should be able to present them next week. Basically, he calculates the fluctuations on the IBF calculations based upon statistics of the number of "pancakes" present in the drift volume due to prior collisions and the internal fluctuations of pancake densities due to unavoidable effects like spiral tracks. He also warns about engineering of support structures that can spray crap into the TPC from collisions that are far from the midpoint. We won't trigger these as data events, but they will nonetheless increase the pancake-to-pancake fluctuations.

Hi All,
I had talked to a couple of you in Santa Fe about a tracking meeting this Friday, but I think it is a bit much given the workshop this week and the preparations to finalize talks for the C&S review.
So let's plan to have a tracking meeting on November 6. Ron has graciously agreed that we can do it at 9:00 am ET, so let's plan on doing that.
I will work on an agenda before the meeting.
Thanks
Tony
