Dear Collaborators,

I agree with Ed's view of the sPHENIX Tracker review closeout – it was very
positive and very encouraging. As was noted prior to the review, the panel
consisted of very knowledgable people, with the background and experience to
appreciate the technical and managerial aspects of the project at a deep
level. Because of that, panel’s broad endorsement of the project’s
direction, as expressed in the closeout, was especially gratifying.

The tons of hard and thoughtful work – from all across the collaboration –
leading up to the review was very well reflected in the presentations. As Ed
said, “You did great.”

Ed thanked everyone else for the part they played in this, and we’d like to
highlight his role in preparing for the review. The two rounds of rehearsals
he orchestrated led to high-quality talks that were on point with very few
inconsistencies or omissions that kept to time (ensuring that key information
was presented on our terms). The panel saw a professional operation and I
think they were appropriately impressed.

Regards,
Dave and Gunther
