Hi Tony,

I also did a quick math and I got something similar length.

36cm, 41.4cm, 46.7cm, 52.1cm

These are almost factor of 2 longer than the present design.

I will check the number of channel counting.

Hi All,

I have posted some slides to (note, no actual meeting is planned for tomorrow, I will be traveling):

https://indico.bnl.gov/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=2374

showing my conclusions about the length of the INTT layers that are needed to match the acceptance of the TPC if we assume collisions in the collision Z vertex range of +/- 10 cm.

There are two files linked to the entry, one is a pdf containing my slides, the other is a pdf of Walt Sondheim's drawing showing the required active INTT layer lengths.

Please have a look - the results may surprise you. All comments are welcome.

Cheers

Tony
