Hi Tony,

I don't see that shifting the hits after the fact is a viable option for the embedding. You generate the sims using the "wrong" material locations and then shift the hit positions. This likely works for tracking but if you consider the effects of this on simulations at large you run very quickly into trouble with this approach. Secondaries from interactions with material will be produced in the wrong place, heat maps looking for support structures won't match and so on.
