Dear Changfeng,

Please find below my comment to your nice slides:

Slide 1. Add Supported in part by U.S. department of Energy (dont forget about their logo)

Slide 2 and 3. General commen to the slide 2 and slide 3: instead of writing full sentences try to highlight some important points, e.g., at slide 2: "STAR experiment published individual net-charge, net-proton, net-kaon, as well as net-Lambda, higher order diagonal cumulant measurements”, this can be easily skipped as below you refer to already published papers; the next sentence about why to measure correlations is very obvious, it should be said during your presentation, no need to keep the whole sentence. I would rather read why studies of these correlations help us to understand the QCD phase diagram.

Slide 4: Explain why you study the correlation between net-proton and net-kaon with respect to the net-kaon fluctuations (and not net-proton). Add a comment what is the physical interpretation of your measurement.

Slide 6: between -3- to 30 cm -> between - 30 cm to 30 cm

Slide 7: it would be good to mention what is the reason you repeat analysis from Run-11 with dataset from Run-18 as already published data looks ok in terms of statistics.

Slide 8: the same comment as one slide before. The viewer might not understand what is the purpose to repeat this analysis with new data collection.

Slide 9: add the comment about the physical interpretation of these two correlations.

Slide 10: add some comments about physical interpretations. What have we learned having different correlations between delta-p and delta-k?
It would be also to mention somewhere what does it mean the correlation is negative. What can learn from it?

Thanks,
Hanna

Dear Xiaofeng,
Thank you for your suggestion and comments.
I have modified from 1 to 4.
as you methioned 5, and I checked the data,sigma2 proton and sigma2 kaon are different actually.
It seems both of them are so small and y-axis are so big. I have changed the Y axis range to smaller,
Now we can see clearly they are different as expected so I have modfied it and summary.
This is the new slides: https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/QPT2021_ChangfengLi_v2.pdf

Thank you,
Best Regards,
Changfeng

Hi Changfeng,
??? Nice presentation.
??? Please find my comments/suggestions below :
??? 1. Slide 3, FO parameters -> Freeze-out parameters
??? 2. Slide 4, need to write down the mathematical definition of the
off-diagonal cumulants.
??? 3. Slide 5, |eta|<1.4 -> |eta|< 1,? 0.2 GeV/c -> 0.15 GeV/c
??? 4. Slide 6, need to write down the number of events used in the
analysis.
??? 5. Slide 9, I don't understand the claim : "give the same results."
??? ?? ? If numerator are the same, but denominator are different. How
could the results are the same ?
??? ???? Please re-phrase for the corresponding discussion and also in
the summary.
??? With those implemented, I sign off.
Thank you,
Best Regards,
Xiaofeng
