Dear CF colleagues,

Another request comes from the Trigger Board. It is related to the upcoming Run-22.
The Trigger Board needs to know if the group has specific needs.

According to Beam Use Request, Run-22 takes full advantage of STAR’a new forward detection capabilities, consisting of a Forward Calorimeter System and Forward Tracking System located between 2.5 < eta < 4, while also capitalizing on the recent BES-II detector upgrades. There was proposed a dedicated 20 cryo-week transversely polarized pp run at sqrt(s) = 510 GeV. What was assumed firstly was that we will have running conditions similar to those achieved in Run-17, we expect to sample at least 400 pb^{-1} for our rare / non-prescaled triggers.

All these details will be needed for next year’s BUR. The investigation should start now.

Kindly let us know what are your needs, comments, proposals.

Thanks,
Hanna
