Hi Debasish,

    Nice abstract.
Please find my comments and suggestions below for you to consider :

    1. Line 9-10, I suggest to change to : "In addition, they are also
sensitive to local baryon density fluctuations indued by QCD phase
transition."

In this abstract, we try to keep the discussion focused on the
particle production mechanism by doing a test of thermal models and
coalescence models. We have seen from this measurement and thermal
model calculations that deuteron cumulants are very sensitive to the
different ensembles in the thermal models. This is one of our prime
findings and would be very useful to mention it in the abstract. We
would like to request to keep this line.

We can add your suggestion regarding the QCD phase transition.
However, we think this addition to the text might divert a bit the
context of the abstract from the production mechanism.

    2.   Line 11, first systematic measurement -> first measurement

We present new measurements on centrality and energy dependence of
deuteron cumulants as well as proton-deuteron correlations at nine
collision energies from BES-I. These results include necessary
corrections and the estimation of measurement associated
uncertainties. To give justice to these new set of measurements, we
feel it would be good to mention "first systematic measurement"
instead of "first measurement". We would request to keep this part as
before.

    3.  Line 16,  I suggest to delete " using Time Projection Chamber
(TPC) and Time-of-Flight detectors."

I think that it is always good to mention the detectors used for
particle identification in the measurement. Also, as we are
identifying Deuterons in the extended transverse momentum region of
Pt=0.8GeV/c to 4.0GeV/c, it is useful to mention TPC and ToF detectors
to convey that we have good PID purity. To remove ambiguity on this
aspect, it is helpful to keep this text.
I would like to request to keep the mention of detectors.

    4.  Line 19 : I suggest to delete "that incorporates 19 the
coalescence of nucleons close-by in space and momentum to form
deuterons."

Since our prime motivation consists of studying production of
deuterons via thermal/coalescence scheme, we think we should stress
that both the model calculations have been compared to the
measurements. Coalescence model calculation is an important result and
mentioning this feature (phase-space coalescence of close-by nucleons)
of the calculation is very relevant and will make the message clear.

With those implemented, I sign off.

Thank you,
Best Regards,
Xiaofeng
