Dear Hanna and ShinIchi,
Thank you for your suggestions.
In the future, we would investigate the pT dependence of rG, and check if the f0 and d0 will change in different pT bins.
1, For mid-rapidity y[-0.5, 0], I compared the rG from LL fit with free f0&&d0 and fixed f0&&d0, please find it below:
0-10% 10-20% 20-40% 40-60%
Free f0&&d0: rG 2.68 +- 0.01 2.47 +- 0.01 2.25 +- 0.01 1.95 +- 0.02
chi2/ndf 3.1 2.5 3.9 1.8
fixed f0(7.8)&&d0(2.8): 2.83 +- 0.01 2.59 +- 0.01 2.35 +- 0.01 2.03 +- 0.02
chi2/ndf 21.8 16.7 17.4 5.3
The comparion indicates that if we fix f0&&d0 rG will increase ~ 0.1, but the chi2/ndf will increase a lot.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2, Please find the rG, f0, d0 (simultaneous fit, combined sys. and stat. errors) from 3 GeV and those from 200 GeV nature paper:
f0 d0 rG
3 GeV 7.07 +- 0.02 3.74 +- 0.04 1.92 +- 0.01 (40-60%, y[-0.5, 0])
200 GeV 7.41 +- 0.17 (stat.) +- 0.3 (sys.) 2.76 +- 0.24 (stat.) +- 1.33 (sys.) 2.71 +- 0.02 (stat.) +- 0.04 (sys.) (30-80%. y[-0.5, 0.5])
The f0, d0 from 3 GeV and 200 GeV are consistent within uncertainties, the rG shows an obvious energy dependence.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
About non-gaussian source effect, we can further discuss if there is an effective method that can be used to estimate this effect.
I guess that non-gaussian contribution is main from the tail of r* distribution which have very small contribution to CF.
Best and regards,
Chuan

Dear Chuan, ShinIchi and All,
We expect a change of radii with kT of the pair / pT of the particle / centrality of the collision / energy of the collision, but a similar set of parameters of the strong interaction for these cases is expected as well. Yesterday I suggested checking how the change of parameters of the strong interaction: f0 and d0, is sensitive to these fittings. I proposed to fix them to those predicted by theory as to see how fitting will change.
I also think it would be good to compare results with previously published in Nature STAR results (a conclusion was that pbar-pbar parameters are consistent with p-p).
We also discussed the assumption that the gaussian / non-gaussian source may influence the parametrization of the interaction, but this would be more challenging to check.
Thanks,
Hanna

Wiadomość napisana przez ChuanFu via Star-cf-l <star-cf-l AT lists.bnl.gov> w dniu 18.05.2023, o godz. 16:49:Dear ShinIchi,Thank you for your nice suggestions.We indeed mearsured the p-p CF for different pT bin(0.15-0.4, 0.4-0.7, 0.7-1.0, 1.0-1.5 GeV/c),not kT bin, but I think it dose not matter,since the larger pT is corresponding to larger kT,and smaller pT is corresponding to smaller kT. However, due to the serious track-merging effect,we have to give up lowest pT bin [0.15, 0.4], and the higest pT bin [1.0, 1.5] GeV/c have not enough statistics.So, we only have two pT bin (0.4-0.7, 0.7-1.0), as you suggested, in the future long paper plan,we would like to study the pT dependece of rG, f0 and d0, and it is nice idea to compare to pion-pion's results in our long paper plan.But currently we want to foucus on our short paper (Target journal: PRL) including p-p and p-Lam.and p-Xi CFs and first measurement on the strong interaction parameters between p-p and p-Lam.To sum up, in the future long paper plan we would like to include the data points from two pT bin (0.4-0.7, 0.7-1.0),and study the pT dependece of rG, f0 and d0. In current short paper, we will focus on the first measurment onbaryon-baryon CFs and strong interaction parameters extraction at 3 Gev.Again thank you for your nice suggestions, and please let me know if you have any question.Best and regards,Chuan for the PAs_______________________________________________------------------ Original ------------------From: "ShinIchi Esumi"<esumi.shinichi.gn AT u.tsukuba.ac.jp>;Date: Thu, May 18, 2023 10:10 PMTo: "ChuanFu"<fuchuan AT mails.ccnu.edu.cn>; "Star-cf"<star-cf-l AT lists.bnl.gov>;Subject: Re: [Star-cf-l] CF PWG meeting, May 18th, 2023, new time: 9:00 (BNL time)Dear ChuanSorry for missing your talk, since I did not realize the starting time of the meetinghas been modified recently, that was my fault. I wanted to listen your talk and askyou a few questions, so I here send you this via E-mail.
You have observed the f0 and d0 parameters with some minor dependences as afunction of centrality and rapidity, therefore you’ve tried the simultaneous fitting, whichis very much reasonable. Have you also tried to vary the kt of the pair to test thesame thing? Or will you be trying to? We expect some significant kT dependenceof radius (size of the source), at least, stronger than the rapidity dependence, justlike what you see as a function of centrality. Do you think you would still see onecommon set of f0 and d0 parameters, including the kT dependence in addition toyour centrality and rapidity dependences? With these tests including kT dependence,you might be able to compare the source radius your p-p correlation analysis withthe one from the other pion-pion correlation studies, possibly including kT, rapidityand centrality dependences. Or you might even be able to try some kind of globalfitting by constraining the kT, rapidity and centrality dependences of the source size,in order finally to test the kinematic or geometric dependence of d0 and f0 parametersor if they are really independent as you might expect etc… You might have discussedthis or thought about it, as I’ve joined late today… Sorry about it and thank you verymuch for the nice studies, I enjoyed a lot.Best regards, ShinIchi
