Dear Nasim,
Sure, it's STAR data, and anyone can do any analysis.I was responding to the questions asked by the conveners to what degree we are overlapping.
Good luck,
Niseem
Hi Nasim,
I think the analyses is very similar, take the attached plot for example (it gives the mixed harmonic correlations between v^4_n and v^2_m) this is the 6-PC that will be used in your AC2,1(m,n) on your slide 2. Also the other 4-PC and 2-PC are presented or published. With that being said I do not see a problem I'm not interested in looking into the AC2,1 I'm looking into the individual correlations which is sensitive to the final state effect.
Thanks,
Niseem
Hi Niseem,Thanks for your reply. Let me explain what I plan to do in this study. As mentioned in the title of my talk, I am only interested in measuring higher-order correlation (6-particle and 8-particle correlation) using high statistics data sets at 200 GeV AuAu (Run 11 +14+ 16) and Isobar. To do higher order cumulant, one needs to measure lower order as well and some of the terms may be common in our analysis that does not mean I am presenting the same results that you already have but just adding them.
But I agree, our physics motivation is the same as mentioned in the first symmetric cumulant paper from RHIC, PLB 783, 459, 2018 .

Hi Nasim,
I see your point; however, both observables are similar. Please see my recent PRC on this part, "Niseem Magdy Phys.Rev.C 107, 024905 (2023)" You will find all the equations on the APPENDIX. We are using the same equations. The only difference is that I'm reporting the individual parts of the observable, and you are adding them together. To get the AC_21(m,n), you need to measure the 6-, 4-, and 2-PC of n and m. In addition, there is not much difference between ATLAS paper using the Q-cumulant method and both of our works. On page 6 of "arXiv:2101.05619" they speak to how one can construct asymmetric cumulants, which is a part of my work. However, we are talking about the symmetric cumulants part. Also, you can find in my recent paper, I pointed out the difference in analyses and the purpose of different observables.
Thanks,
Niseem

Hi Nissem,Thanks for sharing your analysis details.

I have quickly gone through it, it is very interesting. However, I can see my observable i.e "Asymmetric cumulant" (taken from PRC 105 (2022) 024912) is not the same as your observables which is similar to the ATLAS paper (JHEP 01 (2020) 51).
The main difference is reported and shown in detail in PRC 105 (2022) 024912.Please look at page 6 of the paper (arxiv link: https://arxiv.org/pdf/2101.05619.pdf)
Although we used the same name, the observable is different.

I would guess you are using Epd E-W 2-sub correlation to estimate the
Epd combined resolution via chi extraction (right?), which might be affected
by the p-cons effect (in the resolution estimation, although Epd combined
plane is used) as Sergei pointed out. EpdE-EpdW-TPC 3-sub correlation
plus EpdFull-TPC correlation would give the same Epd combined resolution,
which might still be affected by the same effect. Therefore one could also
try EpdInn-EpdOut-TPC 3-sub plus EpdFull-TPC correlation could give
somewhat different Epd combined resolution, since TPC resolution would
be different between the 2 cases, that you could try to answer such question.
One can also do the two v1 measurements just with EpdE or EpdW plane
to be compared with the current one using Epd combined plane, but the
resolution is always affected, when you start with E-W correlation.
Since the low pT region of triton seems to be strange to me, I also wonder
deuterons at low pT region were OK or not. Please make sure the purity.
Anyway, thank you very much for the interesting results… I’m looking for
more differential pT and centrality dependent studies.
Best regards, ShinIchi
