p.s. And pin 39, I just noticed.

Hi Jianing,
I don't see any advantage to 2 layer vs. 4 or 6 layers even if it helps make a smaller board. The mechanical situation is probably greatly improved by the smallest possible T-board, at least in the radial direction. (Also of course, it doesn't have to be a simple rectangle shape, if that helps. No sure.) The total mass of copper should still be kept to minimum of course.
The cost of the T board must surely be insignificant compared to the other parts, even if it was a "complicated" PCB.
Do you have schematics for your "hybrids" i.e. the APV carrier flex circuits yet? The T board schematic I think looks almost correct to me but I'd like to look at both together if possible. It seems like there is a mismatch between your pin 27 usage on P1 vs. P2 - is that intentional? I'd have expected you'd want them identical.

hi Gerard,
Thanks for the comments.
Please find the schematic for T-board in the attachment.
It's hard to route all the lines in 2 layer board. I'll try my best to keep the current size.
If it is too large for the mechanics, I'll add two extra layers to decrease the board size.
I also think mounting holes are needed. If the holes are too large, the length may be increased.
Best regards,
Jianing

hi Li,
Sorry I couldn't make the meeting this week. Perhaps next one.
Can you guys send the schematics for your T-board and hybrids please? It's hard
to comment much looking only at T-board layout...
Silkscreen isn't crucial, I have left off refdes markings for some components
on dense board designs, it's ok.
If 6x3 cm is too large for the mechanics, I think you could make this layout in
6x2.4 cm or so, judging from the layout picture. But if course if 3 cm is
already good that is quite fine.
I think 4 layer board would also be fine. (With about same total amount of
copper of course, don't add mass if you do that.
Anyway, looks like a good start.
It needs some mounting holes, maybe? Or did you plan to epoxy it to the frame?
Sincerely,
Gerard

The preliminary size is 6cm x 3cm. It is not finished yet and we will
try hard to fit the rest into current size. There are current two
layers. We may need extra layer if the rest cannot be fit in. Would
extra layer be acceptable?
The only choice we have for connectors in the same series is 25x2 pins
(IST one is 30x2 pins). The new type will save us 4mm in length.
Considering the possibility of increasing risk with little gain, we
would prefer to keep the same type as IST connector.

Li YI
