Dear All,

I have been following emails and there is a lot of progress, very nice.
I would like to make one point the material thickness requirement should actually come from simulations to see what kind of background this extra material gives. i think we need to start this type of simulations.

Cheers elke

Hi Gerard,
 Thanks for the suggestions.
I have asked the vendor, and they tell me that 1/2 ounce copper and 1.2 mm overall thick can be achieved.
If there are no special requirements for the material, I also think "FR-4" is suitable for its wide application in PCB production.
So we'll try "FR-4" as material and 1.2 mm as overall thickness with 1/2 ounce copper per layer for prototype T-board.
 Thank you so much.

 Best,
 Jianing

Hi Li,
I would suggest maybe 1.2 mm as a good overall thickness of the T-board PCB.
Thicker than that I think isn't justified for mechanical reasons, and of course
we should keep material to a minimum. (Will you use 1/2 ounce copper or 1 ounce?)
As for material, I'd suggest a high reliability "FR-4" type of material. Isola
370HR is sort of the industry standard choice there, but there are many options
I'm sure. Ask your fabrication vendor what they would recommend.
Sincerely,

Gerard

Dear Gerard and All,

We have updated *final* T-board layout with 60mm * 24mm in size.

What shall be the materials for T-board? And T-board thickness?

Thanks!

Best,
Li
