Dear All,
To follow the spirit of today's discussion on better documenting/more
communication through emails, I would like to repeat an question during
today's meeting here:
Basing on the current design (keeping T-board/hybrid design to be the same
size but only moved connectors to two sides), would it be ok for cable
soldiered on T-board to have enough space?
The concern was that the distance between connector and cable solder points
was too close to each other and may cause difficulty when connecting T-board
and hybrid with cables in the way.
The current dimensions were sent out by Jianing ten days ago and can be found
at: https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/hybrid_dimension_190506.pdf
The height of a pair of nicomatic connector is 6.2mm. (Steve: Do you think it
could be ok for cables?)
PS. the motivation to have connectors on two sides of the T-board, which was
discussed during last week's meeting, is to disconnect and connect the
connectors more easily.
Best,
Li
