- Date: Tue, 17 Sep 2019 16:28:43 +0000
Dear all,
I suggest we skip this week’s FST meeting. If you have updates, please send
an email to the list.
Below are the action items from last week’s meeting, and my updates.
Zhenyu
News
1. Fermilab contract for module assembly is in place. Zhenyu will have a
meeting with the engineer this Thursday
2. Gerard/Tonko will take a look at IST DAQ this week. Paul will try IST slow
control as well.
Action items from 9/12 meeting:
1. Prithwish will bring the ARCII and ARM back to STAR, and check exactly how
many ARMs are removed from the IST crates, and will try to look for the other
missing ARCII.
2. Flemming will find out from Rahul whether NOVEC has been delivered and if
so contact Gerrit for having a look at the IST rack.
-> NOVEC has not been delivered to BNL. Rahul will follow up with BNL
procurement to check the status.
3. Han-sheng will add 2 more screws to fix the FST module in the box, and
send Zhenyu the updated drawings and movie this Friday or Saturday.
-> Done
4. We will check if we can use the PELICAN boxes which were used for shipping
IST modules for FST modules. Flemming found three of them at BNL.
-> We can fit 3 modules per PELICAN box. We are good enough for now.
5. Yi is working on the documentation of the mechanical structure. He has the
inputs from EASTON and AIDC in Chinese and will convert them to English.
6. Yi will discuss with AIDC for the precision they can achieve and whether
or not specific fixtures are needed for mounting hybrids to mechanical
structure
7. There are a number of studies to study the number of segmentation and
Z-locations that should be done once the tracking code is ready.
