*********** Follow-up on action items from previous weeks ***********
1) Document the procedure and requirements of gluing hybrids onto MS for Plan A at NTU - Yi/Han-Sheng
2) Document the procedure and requirements of gluing hybrids onto MS for Plan B by AIDC. This is needed before new hybrid production - Yi/Han-Sheng
3) Document on how/where the company would measure the surface flatness and being parallel between inner-outer sectors, before and after glueing hybrids and inner-outer sectors together - Yi/Han-Sheng
4) Look into radiation tolerance test of cooling soft tubes at BNL/STAR/Taiwan - Flemming/Yi

4) Look into radiation tolerance test of cooling soft tubes at BNL/STAR/Taiwan - Flemming/Yi
-> In progress. Flemming sent the expected radiation dose to Yi. Yi is asking colleagues to see what can be done in Taiwan. Flemming is talking to Robert Pak to see what can be done at STAR.
5) Find out how the company would fix the hybrid and measure its flatness and thickness - Maowu/Jianing
-> in progress. See details below.
6) UIC send a T-board and cable to NCKU to check if there is any conflict with the MS - Zhenyu
7) Fermilab reopening plan - Zhenyu
-> Fermilab is working on a reopening plan. Relevant technicians may return to work before June. They will first work on the top priority project of the lab. No guarantee but do expect to have time in-between to work on our small scale project.
8) Looking into alternative clustering algorithm to improve matching efficiency - Xu
9) Tune the timing setting for ADC sampling - Gerard/Xu
-> in progress. found a code that may facilitate the investigation.
10) Studying the tracking performance by varying the Z-locations of FST disks, and number of r/phi segments - Krishan/Daniel
-> In progress. See details below
11) Looking into FST simulation and track reconstruction with Te-Chuan and Daniel’s code/instruction - Shenghui
-> In progress. See details below
12) List of future orders - all
-> Started the paperwork for ordering Hamamatsu sensors. Purchase of other components are on hold until the test of inner sensors is complete.
-> NCKU will cover the cost to purchase soft tubes in each disk. But not sure if he has funds to cover the cost if we need to use metal tubes. Also assume BNL would cover the cost to purchase the cooling tubes between FST disks and manifold

*********** Updates this week ***********
1. Integration - Felix/Rahul
Felix updated the supporting and installation design. Will work on including the inlet/outlet cooling tubes for the disks. Will also include cables after getting the relevant info.
-> Action item: Rahul will send an email with detailed questions to the list to collect information
2. Hybrid - Maowu
1) Measured hybrid surface flatness (without applying the weight) to be around 700 microns, and uniformity of the thickness to be around 25 microns (with weight). The latter would give a small contribution to the uniformity of the surface for Silicon sensor mounting. The former number tells the importance to apply weight when mounting the hybrids, for which Yi confirmed a 1Kg weight will be applied.
2) Discussed the dimension measurement, namely the relative position of wire-bonding pads and/or APV base pad w.r.t. the vias on the hybrid that will be used to locate the hybrid when mounting it onto MS. It was suggested to perform the former measurement by taking the average center of the pads.
3. Mechanical structure - Yi
1) 10 sets of MS produced by EASTON on Monday. The surface flatness and size will be measured by EASTON. The flatness and dimension (MS edge w.r.t. reference holes) will be measured at NTU, if the external company is not ready to perform the measurement next week.
2) Checked with NTU that their equipments would be available for FST prototyping and production. Proceed with plan A to glue hybrid and inner+outer MS together at NTU. Started the gluing test last Thursday, hope to establish the procedure and start with the actual PEEK and hybrid this Friday.
3) Soft plastic tube tests with NOVEC: test was complete with the first tube. The results are consistent with 3M numbers. Redo the test with the second tube after seeing some abnormal results.

4. Prototype Module Assembly and Test - Xu
1) significant common mode noise in FST, in contrast to IST. Improved S/N after CMN correction
5. Tracking Studies - Daniel/Krishan
1) Daniel contacted Jason to understand extended running time with track reconstruction. By using a simplified geometry instead of the full geometry in GenFit, the problem is resolved. Plan to follow up with Jason to see if it is still possible to using the full geometry in GenFit.
2) Krishan looks into number of r/phi segments in simulation. He has a problem in filling histograms and will contact Daniel for help.
6. FST Simulation - Shenghui
1) was able to run simulation and track reconstruction. Will compare 300 vs 500 micron thick Si sensors on efficiency, momentum resolution, secondary particles and photon conversions
