Hi Daniel,

Due to you are in another meeting, I would like to let you know that I made some check about the code of the track reconstruction runs very slowly on RCF when I submit jobs. You can find the detailed information on slide 5 in my presentation today. Can you follow up it?

Thanks,
Shenghui

Hey Zhenyu and all,

I will also be unable to attend the meeting this Monday morning, as I'll be in for an access to try and recover a failed TPX power supply cable.

RE: PPB and ABC Boards: Christian, Gerard, and I had some discussions privately. We have a tentative plan for bringing in a second bias voltage to the T-boards. We will change the pins populated in the purple cable D-sub to use OUT10P, OUT10N instead of OUT8P, OUT8N. We will leave the PPBs as-is, with the modifications Steve ordered in-tact. We will not need to make any further modifications to the PPBs, or restore them to their original state - they can be used exactly as they are now. We will have to cut two pairs of tracks on the ABC board (the ones corresponding to OUT10P, OUT10N) between the DIN connector and the 0.1" pitch breakout holes in the ABC board. Then we can add the additional cable mount BNC connectors to bring in the new bias voltages.

Once we settle on final plans we'll draw it up and document it to present to the group. This shouldn't be an issue to have ready sometime by our meeting on the 24th.

Dear Zhenyu, Maowu, Jianing,
I am sorry but there is an 'emergency' meeting I need to do for FCS on monday that conflicts with this, I will miss the meeting ahtough we do have to discuss importantly the T-board changes. Please let's do that by some emails.
As far as I know, the thing which is needed to get the changes finished is a documentation of the position of the outer hyrbid connector in the plane of the T board w.r.t. the four mounting holes of the mechanical structure that the T-board mounts to. We need to know the basic dimensions of this and the tolerances (effective tolerances applying on all the accepted assemblies). I suppose it is for Yi to define, maybe in combination with Maowu and Jianing (since the tolerance includes the tolerance of placing locating features of the outer hybrid to the mechanical structure as well as the tolerance of the connector w.r.t the lcating features on the outer hybrid).
I have no information about this. We certainly won't be able to finish the new T-board without this position and tolerance info. Let's discuss by email in next couple of days.
        Sincerely,

                Gerard
