Hi Xu,

We checked all the modules here, FST-06, FST-07, FST-08, FST-09, and everything is completely fine.
I suspect the marks were made during transportation and handling. I think that all of us just need to be extra careful in the future.

Cheers,
Yi

Hi Yi,

I got the reply from the company, please find it below:

Hi  Zhenyu,

Thanks a lot for the information.
I don't think we had these marks on guide pins before.
I will check FS-06 which is at NCKU today, and Te-Chuan, Chan-Jui and Yu-Shang will check FS-07, -08, and -09 at TiDC today.

Cheers,
Yi

Hi Yi,

Please find below comments from Greg at Fermilab on this prototype MS

https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/Production%20Module%20MS%20-%2009%20Nov%202020%20Comments%20from%20Greg.pdf

We first gave the MS to a company which makes new storage boxes, and then to Greg to check it against the module assembly tooling. I am not sure whether the marks on the pin were there before giving to the company or only after.

If the former, the marks must have been made during the pin fabrication/insertion process and be there for other pins
Xu is asking the company to see if they did something around the pin which might have created the marks.
