Hi Gabe,

Xianglei has moved the files back.
Please let us know in case you still have problems accessing the production.

Cheers,
Barbara

Dear Barbara, Nihar, and Yi,

We have been considering a systematics study using already existing embedding that Joel Mazer used in the past. He sent me the location of these files a few months ago,

 /star/embed/embedding/AuAu_200_production_2014/Pythia6_pt##_##_1*_20192901/P18ih.SL18h/2014/*/*/

At the time, I checked this location and found the files I was looking for. Recently I returned to retrieve more data, but could no longer locate any of the Pythia6 embedding files within the AuAu_production_2014/ directory. Do you know if these files have been relocated? and if so how I could access them?

Thanks,

Gabe

Dear All,

There is a general recommendation that in order to submit an abstract for a conference that promises results that require a new embedding, the needed embedding has to be produced (or at least fully vetted) before the abstract submission.

The closest bigger conference is Quark Matter 2023 with the abstract submission deadline at the end of April (unofficial information from the organizers).
Therefore, if you plan to submit a QM23 abstract and your analysis requires a new embedding, please let us know asap.
We will then discuss the embedding priorities and see what are the chances of your request being produced by the end of April.

This is because usually the period between the abstract submission and the time when results have to be approved in the PWG is relatively short (~3.5 half months in the case of QM23) - it takes some time to produce and verify an embedding production, and the current list of requests is quite long. We would like to avoid last minute approvals, or even talk cancellations.

With best regards,
Barbara, Nihar, Yi
