- BSMD: how to run it to maximum its use? Some of the components will be dying once turned on according to Oleg. Therefore, we need to think about how to run it most effectively for physics program. For example, whether we turn it off during low-lumi data taking and only turn it on for high-lumi data. The strong argument to run BSMD is for pi0/gamma separation. The hard probes pwg should discuss this and give an answer for which data sets BSMD is critical to physics. I have asked Akio to discuss this at the trigger board as well.
