Hi Dandan,

Thanks for addressing the comments. In the interest of time I sign off, but see a few further comments below:

Sorry if I was unclear. I understand (or think I do) the reasoning for using different frames and their physical meaning — my question was whether that reasoning should be given in the abstract. But I think it’s also fine not to go into it there, and save it for the presentation.

8: “produced early in heavy-ion collisions”; “the full evolution of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) created in these collisions.”;  “Because of this, J/\psi serves…”;
9: “to study the properties of the QGP. In Ru+Ru…"
24: “and its physics implications will be discussed” is now an orphan. You could do something like “…to the event plane. We conclude by presenting the physics implications of this measurement.”

Thanks,
Isaac

Hi Isaac and Nihar,

Thanks for your nice suggestions and comments.
I have implemented your comments in the updated version.

Here is answer of Issac's question
Question: Would it be worth explaining why polarization with respect to the event plane tells us something different than the HX and CS frames? Something along the lines of it being connected more directly to the QGP vorticity / initial EM fields than the other two frames, if I understand correctly?

Answer: Three frames differ in the x, y and z axis. The measurement of the polarization with respect to the event plane connects more directly to the QGP vorticity / initial EM fields as the direction of the event plane reflects the direction of the angular momentum of the colliding system. The z axis of the HX and CS frames is the normal direction of the J/Psi production plane. Measuring of the polarization in such frames can provide information about the J/Psi production mechanism.

Best
Dandan

Hi Dandan,

The abstract reads nicely to me. I see that it’s roughly the same as your Quark Matter abstract, so please forgive me for giving you some small additional comments, since I’m new.

Thanks,
Isaac

2: “NN” should be upright (and in l. 9 and 21).
7: This sentence is a bit vague. I would explain why it's important. Something like that the large scale set by the charm mass means the heavy quark pairs are produced early and experience the full medium evolution, interacting with it via dissociation/screening which produce recognizable signatures of that interaction for study.
9: "GeV recorded by the STAR experiment" or similar.
10: "indicating the"
15: "the J/\psi and the QGP's"
18: Some more detail on your measurement would be nice. You probably don't want to overpromise on the corrections and systematic uncertainties, which I understand, but maybe e.g. the decay channel, that it's differential in pT, etc. I don't want to make it overly technical, but a couple of these high-level details shouldn't hurt.
20: Would it be worth explaining why polarization with respect to the event plane tells us something different than the HX and CS frames? Something along the lines of it being connected more directly to the QGP vorticity / initial EM fields than the other two frames, if I understand correctly?
20: "event plane"
