Hi Jaroslav,
It would be nice for STAR to be represented at this conference, so thank you
for submitting an abstract. Please see below for my minor comments.
Best,
Isaac
"from the STAR experiment"
I would either say "emergent phenomena of QCD, for instance the Quark-Gluon
Plasma (QGP) created in..." or "the properties of the Quark-Gluon Plasma
(QGP)".
"The QGP's properties" or just "QGP properties"
"Measurements of charm and bottom mesons" or "charm and bottom quark bound
states"?
"Jet production and substructure" or "and the production and substructure of
jets"
You mention that results will be shown from pp and pAu as well, but these
were not motivated in the first paragraph of the abstract. Maybe something
could be added either to the first or second paragraph to say that pp and pAu
results serve as vacuum and CNM baselines for modification of the probes in
heavy-ion collisions. Currently you also don't mention any modification to
hard probes in the QGP, so this could be an added benefit of this additional
sentence.
Since this conference focuses on interdisciplinarity, it may be helpful to
make some connection in the abstract between this research and other fields.
In the "Heavy Ion Collisions and Critical Phenomena", they specify that the
focus is on "The properties of QCD matter under extreme conditions and the
QCD phase diagram. Branching out to neighbouring disciplines:
Superconductivity, Neutron Stars, Quark Stars, Exotics." It's obviously a
stretch to connect STAR's jet and heavy-flavor results directly to an
improved understanding of neutron stars, but maybe some other area of
knowledge could be mentioned.
