Hi all,

As you may know, we are requesting a new large statistics embedding for run12 pp200 events. We are wondering what geometry options we should use, and it would be great if we can have some input from our PWG.

We saw that in the embedding produced in 2015, the geometry tags for both simu and reco are y2012a, but in the embedding produced in 2021 for the same dataset (https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/starsimrequests/2021/may/17/pythia-6-run12-pp200-additional-request), the tag for simu is y2012a and reco is y2012b. From https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/comp/prod/MCGeometry, it seems to me that it is typical to have the same letter code for both simu and reco geometry tag options, so I am confused why different ones were used in the embedding reproduced in 2021. It does also seem to me that this MCGeometry page hasn't been updated since 2020, so perhaps I should look somewhere else.

Please let us know if you have any suggestions. Thank you!

Best,
Youqi
