Hi Andrew,
Thanks a lot for the updated version and reply.
Regarding p6, I would suggest you can try to determine the turnover point by finding the "zero slope" in different widows. But it's up to you and GPC.
By the way, I still think you have lots of material to show. If you can't finish in time during the rehearsal, you can consider to remove the last part.
Cheers,
Yi

Hello Yi,
Thank you very much for the comments, I have updated the slides (and also removed some backup that is meant to be STAR internal so they're not included in the final presentation).
Regarding the curve fitting, I have taken your previous comment into consideration and have discussed this within the GPC and with theorists. Given that there is no expected shape to fit to (It is a region of competing effects, rather than a meaningful shape on its own), we have decided not to fit the peak for the publication, and as I'm hopefully reflecting the final plots in this presentation, was not planning to have a curve fit. The focused physics message will be the collapse of the transition region to a point, rather than the exact location of that point.
Best,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Thanks a lot for the nice slides. I only have some very minor comments for your consideration.
- General: there are lots of material in your slides, please make sure you can finish it on time.
- p1: I love this bridge picture. :-)
- p2: STAR Time Projection Chamber --> Time Projection Chamber (or add STAR to BEMC...)
- p6: I saw you mentioned "Final paper Figure - Aiming for approval before HP", I am wondering, as we discussed before, if you have a method to determine the turnover point? Or this is still determined by eye?
Cheers,
Yi
