Thanks for the explanation of the big step at the middle of z distribution of tpc hit. 
The reason why I asked was the step is just about factor of two compared to the 
outer z region, which sounded like they are all actual good hits, but just plotted 
overlapped at the middle caused by the long drift time converted to the z position. 
But you say they are mostly caused by pile-up, does this mean the most of the 
recorded hits are pile-up hits compared to the real hits from the triggered collision, 
even in this low luminosity of ~40kHz leveled rate? Could you please remind me 
the full drift timeof 2m (close to 50 us)? A few pile up (within this time window) in 
each event might be real collisions though… Thanks again.
