Hi Helen,
This is a good point and we will absolutely also look at 500 GeV. I am also interested to see how the same tune works for both energies, and if needed we could in principle run the tuning procedure on 500 GeV too.
Cheer,
Matt

Hi Matt, All
I meant to ask after your talk today but forgot. You and the group are rightly focusing on the 200 GeV data to get started, but do you have plans (I hope so) to see how it works at 500 GeV? I know we have fewer publications there but there are some and several preliminary, and/or internal results and it would be interesting to see if the same tune applies at both energies, since e are more than doubling the sqrt(s).

Hello all,
Happy New Year! Just a reminder we will forgo this weeks meeting due to the STAR analysis meeting.
In the mean time I wanted to check in with all proponents of the various Rivet analyses on how activities are progressing? In particular, I was wondering if you think we will be able to have some working analyses within a time scale of around 2 weeks (feel free to message privately to not spam the list)? If we have a few ready, we can begin to test the machinery of the Professor tuning method. Once various analyses are complete, we should start populating them on the git repository (to be circulated).
In regards to the question brought up during our last meeting on whether to make these analyses public/private, etc. I think we should work to make them public as this would be beneficial to the community as they can be used to (re-)tune PYTHIA or other generators. This would require some approval, in which Rongrong suggested that we implement an internal approval process for ourselves. To me this seems to be an OK route. We can surly discuss this in detail in the coming meetings but if you have any initial thoughts please let me know.
Talk to you soon. Cheers,
Matt
