Hi Yuanjing,

Thanks for this. I agree there is no significant effect from the BBC. Could you also add these to the repo?

A separate question I had was for your STAR_2012_PID analysis that you just added, did you run your tests (https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/pythiatune0223.pdf) using pythia 8.3?

Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt,

I removed the BBC trigger in standard analysis for p/pi spectra at 0.3<pT<10GeV/c in p+p 200 GeV (Phys. Lett. B637, 161, arXiv: nucl-ex/0601033)
standard analysis: https://rivet.hepforge.org/analyses/STAR_2006_S6500200.html
Details can be found at
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/pythiatuneMar3.pdf
The MC and data comparison plots are shown in Slide 2-5; with or w/o BBC trigger are shown in Slide 6-7. Generally, with or w/o BBC are very consistent. So I think it should be fine to direct use standard analysis for the first round tuning.

Thanks
Yuanjing
