Hi all,
I have linked my discussion slides to the Drupal page here:
drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/Kelsey_Pythia8Tune_2June2021.pdf
Some points I wanted to send around for more input:
-We will have some discussions with our PYTHIA contacts June 16, 10 AM BNL
time (I will circulate connection details). Also next week we will try to
have discussion within cold QCD group.
-In my slides I’ve outline a few conclusions/open questions of our studies
that we should bring up outside the task force meetings. Regarding the
discrepancy with the jet spectra @ 200/510 GeV, it might be difficult to
evaluate our tune performance at 510 GeV with the jet spectra alone until we
understand what’s going on. This point I think we should really try to look
deeper into.
-Note I’ve set up a RIVET analysis for Z0->ee at 510 GeV, but it still needs
some debugging, but I think this would be good for us to add to our RIVET
list. I could use a second opinion on my RIVET code, so if someone can help
take a look please let me know.
-One final point is Professor is now installed on RCF. There is still a
little work to get our work flow running on RCF, but I want to try and set
this up for others to run the tuning package. I will follow up on Mattermost
for those interested in helping here.
Please let me know if there are comments on these various items and let’s try
to discuss in more detail next week.
Cheers,
Matt
