Hello all,
With the PYTHIA 8 tune paper now published, the tuning activities have
settled down. However, I just want to pass along that the task-force may now
stick around as a Monte Carlo tuning focus group. This of course is not
required, but if you are interested in future studies feel free to stick
around.
I foresee some important forward tuning activities, along with some others
that have been mentioned here and there offline (Herwig, jet substructure,
etc.). I have also proposed that we can also serve as a point-of-contact for
RIVET questions/problems within STAR (seeing how we have all became very
familiar).
For now we won’t re-instate the weekly meetings, but if anyone wants to bring
up something of interest, please let me know and we can have a dedicated
meeting. I think we can meet on a need-be basis.
Cheers,
Matt
