Thanks for looking further into this. Given the large number of triggers which could have different biases, I am not sure if a trigger dependent dE/dx correction is the best solution. If we can confirm that the underlying cause is the centrality/occupancy bias, it might be more efficient to introduce additional centrality/occupancy dependent corrections. This should apply to other triggers, such as HT triggers, without any further tuning.

The conclusion is that we need trigger dependent dE/dx correction.
