Dear NSF L2 Managers and Deputies,

The NSF review is scheduled for August 18. It is a one day review. In preparation for that review, we have worked backwards to arrive at a timeline for the review preparation. One element will be a Director’s review as well. The proposed timeline is attached, and as you can see it is reasonably tight, hence you are starting to see requests to get started. One early item is on the BCP. Mark Coles has sent a draft charge for the committee which is attached (we don’t know the members yet). We are requested to have the documentation available for the committee 4 weeks in advance. NSF will follow the ‘usual’ review plan, namely have the committee review the documentation before the meeting, ask us questions to which we will respond before the actual review date. We will keep you updated with the information from NSF as it becomes available – Coles indicated that he proposed to have an all-plenary review.
