Hi Chris,

Just a heads up – you are sending the list to the L2 Deputy NSF list and not the DOE.  I don’t know if you intended for that to happen.  Additionally, you are sending the email via the bounces list.  It should just be: usatlas-hllhc-l2deputymgmt-l AT lists.bnl.gov (DOE); Usatlas-hllhc-l2deputymgmt-nsf-l AT lists.bnl.gov (NSF).  If it has the “bounces” on the email address (as I have highlighted), it bounces it for us to check it out.  It is annoying especially when you are just short handing it when you type the address on the “To” field.  But the list server is funny that way. 🤷

Hi Eric,

Nice to see many things retired! Going over your updates, I have a few follow-up questions:

RD-06-03-02-001add --> this is a supply chain risk
RD-06-03-03-003add --> just to be sure, can you confirm you responded to the supply chain version?

I will wait to hear from you and Marco about:

RD-06-03-07-001

Thanks!

Chris

Thanks a lot Eric! I will include these updates. No need to send additional information for retired tasks.

Chris

Hi Chris,

Marco and I were offline in transit from Germany when we got your email.  I'm back in CA now and went through them this morning.

Todd is on vacation until next Thursday--most of the risks listed are in his L3's (6.3.3 and 6.3.5).

6.3.5 is very near completion so some of the activities listed are delayed in the working schedule; I have chosen a slightly later equivalent activity, which may also be in the past in the baseline by the review, but is delayed in the working schedule.

Some have been retired in the last 2mo.

For the retired activities do you need additional text?

Hi Eric, Marco,

I've been doing a few more checks on the risk simulation for CD2/3 and noticed that you have quite a few risks with a task affected in the past. Would you please take a look and propose more recent tasks? (Or let me know if any can be retired.)

RD-06-03-05-011 --> 6.03-02-SS10578: 7/6/21

Change to SS10660M, it is the last milestone in the contract, but is in early October in baseline--it is delayed in the working schedule.

RD-06-03-03-009 --> 6.03-02-PST11160:: 12/28/21

I have this date for that activity as late Aug '22 (not sure where the '21 date came from).  It can be retired, the mandrel will not change diameter.

RD-06-03-05-014a --> 6.03-02-SS10630M: 12/31/21

This is complete, can be retired (milestone 6 was not paid at last IPR, but was in June)

RD-06-03-05-014b --> 6.03-02-SS10640M: 12/31/21

This is complete, can be retired (milestone 7 was not paid at last IPR, but  was in June)

RD-06-03-07-001 --> 6.03-02-IST10380: 2/28/22

I need to talk to Marco about this one--it was originally tied to the Pixel GM FDR which was March of '22 now March of '23...

We may be able to retire this as even though the review has not occurred, the plans for prototypes have been solidified.

RD-06-03-05-005 --> 6.03-02-SS10650M: 7/8/22

 Activity should be SS106660M (typo from before?), however as mentioned before this later activity is in early October in the baseline schedule--it is delayed.

RD-06-03-05-007 --> 6.03-02-SS10650M: 7/8/22

Activity should be SS106660M (typo from before?), however as mentioned before this is in early October in the baseline schedule--it is delayed.

Perhaps a comment also for above--SS106650M is still in the future in the working schedule and represents the first activity that these risks may impact, not the last in the schedule--SS106660M is the latest activity these can affect.

RD-06-03-02-013 --> 6.03-02-OC20474M: 8/15/22

This can be retired.

RD-06-03-02-001add --> 6.03-02-OC20350: 9/02/22

I cannot find this risk in the RR.  RD-06-03-02-001 was retired...

RD-06-03-03-005 --> 6.03-02-IST40142: 9/30/22

Change to PST12520--it is the last tool design activity in 6.3.3 PST--using the IST activity was confusing.

RD-06-03-03-003add --> 6.03-02-SS10660M: 10/03/22

This should be PST12920--the activity listed is the last in Strip Shells, it should be the last assembly activity in PST which is the strip L1 shell (the activity listed)

It appears we got confused--picked the last Strip Shell which is L1, not L2...

The last few are probably fine as they are if there isn't a good future task. Those from 2021 or early 2022 would be nice to update though.

Thanks!

Chris
