Dear NSF L2s and Deputy L2s,
(Apologies if you got a different version a few weeks back; some if not all of the people on the list didn't get it, so please use the updated information below.)
- Your friendly PO
We propose to hold our quarterly NSF risk review during the CCB
meeting time slot on Tuesday, November 1. We will cover all systems in one meeting (~10 min per subsystem):
As usual, please prepare a few slides covering:
- Changes in risks since the last risk review (especially those that can be retired);
- Updated task affected (to make sure it remains something in the future) as well as clear descriptions of what to do in case of multiple tasks affected (rare);
- Last updated fields (it was noticed at a recent review that some "last updated" fields are in the future);
- Update comments to clearly describe how the cost/duration uncertainties are arrived at;
- Potential changes to risks in the next 3 months, e.g.:
- changes to probability/impact of existing risks;
- existing risks that could be realized or that need to be watched carefully;
- introduction of new risks, or even just speaking to the things that are worrying you these days;
- risks that might be retired;
The current standard risk register
in docDB is v73, and the supply chain risk register is v6:
Please look over both for this review. After the
review, please send me an updated version of the excel spreadsheet with your changes highlighted.
Any issues, please let us know.
