Thanks Gustaaf,

I'll get started implementing these comments - they all seem reasonable to me. I've added a few questions to the document below. The main one is a clarification as to whether you are suggesting that the LAr text that you've highlighted should be removed or not.

Apologies for forgetting to set the access on the document to "comment". I'll fix that when I make the changes.

Thanks  -  Hal

Hi Hal,

I had to make a copy to be able to add suggested edits and comments.  This can be found at

Hi all,

I've uploaded the latest version of the I&I Risk Register to docdb #196 (review/p2-lhc). I only changed the "IIC risk register" entry. The "Standard" and "Supply chain" registers remain the same as before.

I've also edited all of the Impact Statements that you sent to make them more conistent with each other and merged them into a single document:
Please have a look and let me know if I've messed anything up. We may want to post this in the docdb at some point, but that can wait.

Finally, I've incorporated the comments that you sent me on my presentation (thanks!). I'll upload it to the Review Rehearsal indico page later this afternoon.

Hi all,

Thanks for all of your inputs! I'm attaching a first draft of the I&I talk for the upcoming Ops Review. I will be presenting this at the review rehearsal on Thursday this week, so please have a look and send me any quick feedback you might have before then. Of course, I'm happy to accept suggestions after Thursday as well.

If you'd like to sit in on the rehearsal (1:00 pm EDT on 8/29), the indico page is given below:

Srini/Chris: I assume that it's ok for the HL-LHC L2s to join if they can?

An important part of the presentation will focus on I&I risks. I'm also attaching the updated I&I Risk Register. Note that I've modified the probabilities of all risks related to "No Enhanced Surface Testing" to be 100%. These risks are used to indicate the impact on the project if we are not able to exercise the enhanced testing scope opportunities, so - by construction - they will be realized under that assumption. Unless I hear any objections, I'll upload this new version to the docdb tomorrow.

I'm still working on merging all your individual Impact Statements for the "No Enhanced Surface Testing" risks. This should be ready in a day or two. I'll circulate it as soon as it's available.

Thanks  -  Hal
