Hi,

I just saw the House CJS bill (i.e includes NSF) being sent to the CJS subcommittee for mark up tomorrow at 12pm. You can find the full proposed bill for CJS at https://appropriations.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/republicans-appropriations.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/fy26-commerce%2C-justice%2C-science%2C-and-related-agencies-bill-text.pdf .

The first page of the bill regarding the NSF budget is on page 87 – I put a cut and paste here. The takeaway for me is that the R&RA budget is $6.373B, so compared to the PBR MUCH better. The APS FYI says the Senate CJS kept NSF at $9B (I am guessing that is the full amount and not just R&RA), so maybe when they split the difference between the two versions of the Bill maybe we end up at ~$7B for R&RA?  … that would be a miracle, and maybe we live for another day?

Cheers, Mike
