FYI.  The DoE folks should let me know asap if the proposed
week is a problem.

All –

DOE has requested that we reserve time on the OPA calendar for the
CD-2/3 review next year.  It will not be binding, but is something that
should be realistic and that we do all we can to hold to.

We in the PO have folded in our view of overall project readiness,
significant ATLAS meetings that present conflicts, availability of
agency personnel, and several other issues. *We’ve settled on the week
of December 7, 2020 as the most desirable week.*  Note that there are
not many candidate dates, so we should make every effort to accommodate
this.

**

*Please run this by the people in your subprojects and let us know of
any serious conflicts*, *getting back to me by 1pm eastern tomorrow*,
*Friday, 10/11.*  We have been asked to respond tomorrow.

My apologies for the short time scale, but it could not be helped.  It’s
in our interest to proactively set a date for this and, among other
things, to start focusing the baseline discussions at all levels –
within the US project, US ATLAS more broadly, the agencies, and with
International ATLAS and CERN.

Many thanks -- cheers -- Jon
