Hi Hong,

I give below some comments on your draft slides.

John

General - remove the "template" slides (eg. 4, 10, 12, ...) and keep just the slides of your actual talk

p. 2 - remove spurious boxes

p. 8 - use consistent capitalization in table
- change last 2 lines to "US+French", since BNL design was chosen

p. 11 - "Development of ALFE2 BGA package..."

p. 12 - include dimensions? maybe also remind this is 130 nm TSMC?

p. 13 - "test boards" (ie. plural)
- back on p. 11 you said DAC was integrated on chip, so could be confusing that you talk about DAC here. I assume it was just an option for testing, but only the on-chip blocks were used in the results shown?
- move ALFE2 ASIC to top of list of components, since obviously it is the most important one

p. 15 - include noise specs. Also would be a good place to "remind" that the ALFE noise is about 2X lower than LAUROC

p. 17/18 - again, include specs. to make clear they are met

p. 18 - make clear SUM is the Trigger Sum

p. 21 - we can give you a photo of the testboard showing the ALFE2 and COLUTAv4 on the same board

p. 26 - I know this comes here in the template, but I think you should move this earlier in the talk, so they understand the results you show. I would put it after slide 7

p. 27 - "A robotic test system is being set up ..."
- the QC doc was a previous review rec. that we say we have met, so you should not say it is "being prepared" since that contradicts

p. 35 - moved "since 2017" to after "worked together"
- mention here that risk has been reduced recently given advanced state

p. 37 - robot will need some ES&H considerations; worth mentioning?

p. 40-41 - I think you put these in backup and include here only a summary of COVID and non-COVID

p. 43 - you are surprised that you are 60% done??

p. 47 - we say ~100k here but 117.6k(?) on next slide?

p. 55 - mark the completed ones, similar to how you do on p. 54?

p. 63 - "the Premp/Shaper ASIC"

I uploaded the link to BOE and draft slides (not in docdb

I don’t think I need to change the BOE, so it is still the
same version as that for DR. I did update the Traceability table to indicate
one of the iterm is completed.

The slides are still work-in-progress.

Hong.

Hi all,

I will be offline tomorrow, and some others are away also, so I am
cancelling tomorrow's weekly meeting.
A couple updates:

- thanks to the NSF L3s for their inputs to the NSF annual report, which
I am combining and will send to Mike Tuts this evening

- I have produced an updated version of my draft L2 talk for the CD-2/3
review. You can find the new version linked from last week's agenda,
ie. https://indico.bnl.gov/event/17071/. I ask Hong and Hao to put
their draft L3 talks in docdb asap and put the link also on that indico
page. Once they are available, I would greatly appreciate if everyone
could take a look at the draft slides and send feedback.

Regards,
John
