I assumed that the doodle poll was for repeating meetings not a one time thing. The spot is good for me, just not tomorrow as I might have to stay for the DAC discussions at the end.

  Hi Thomas,

sure I noticed the DAC meeting open part is supposed to end at 1:30. This particular time slot was checked by everyone who participated in the poll so far, while the rest of the week days looks like a swiss cheese on the doodle poll.

      Alexander.

Hi Alexander,

please note that the DAC meeting is starting on Wednesday. The open
agenda ends at 1:30 so this is OK unless of course we run over, which is
not uncommon with R&D reviews ;-)
There's however a close DAC meeting from 1:30 to 2:30 that I might
or might not (?) need to attend. In this case I will be a tic late.

    Dear All,

not sure the INFN colleagues who are at CERN these days will be able to join, yet let's have a zoom meeting at 2pm NY time tomorrow Wednesday October 19^th

I'm going to present a set of slides on various details of the conceptual pfRICH design, which should hopefully trigger a discussion of what we want to incorporate now (in particular in order to look competitive to mRICH) and what can wait till next year. This discussion, to first order, will define the needs in geometry description and reconstruction software modifications.

We should also discuss what part of the ATHENA heritage in terms of the detector-level simulations can be recycled, and what was critically missing on pfRICH side in the ATHENA proposal back then.

We did not do any pfRICH-related "physics" simulations for ATHENA, and I think should discuss (1) do we need many at this stage, (2) if yes, which ones should we focus on and who can do this.

I believe cost, schedule and Co can come later, but we can discuss this as well, or any other topics people think have a priority.

We may be looking for a 1.5h long meeting this time.

    Regards,
      Alexander.
