Subject: Invitation to the 3rd Annual AI4EIC Workshop at CUA, Washington, D.C. --- second circular

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the 3rd Annual AI4EIC Workshop. The event is scheduled at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., spanning November 28 to December 1, 2023.

Offering a hybrid format this year, attendees have the choice of in-person or virtual participation. Given the invaluable interactions from our prior workshops, we highly recommend attending in person.

For an overview of the agenda, please visit AI4EIC Agenda. Topics encompass (i) AI/ML for ePIC and Beyond,  (ii) Calibration, Monitoring, and Experimental Control in Streaming Environments (iii) AI/ML for Accelerators, (iv) AI/ML for Data Analysis and Theory, (v) Foundation Models and Trends in Data Science, and (vi) AI/ML in Production, Distributed ML. Further event details are available here.

Continuing the momentum from our earlier meetings, this workshop delves into the existing and potential AI/ML applications for the EIC, highlighting the ePIC experiment initiatives.

We've arranged three insightful AI/ML tutorial sessions, delivered by industry, academia, and national lab experts.

Additionally, we're also thrilled to present the second international AI4EIC Hackathon on December 1st.

Kindly note that we are still accepting abstract submissions. Additionally, the proceedings from the workshopwill be published in JINST following the event.

AI/ML is a cornerstone for the EIC's future, integral to design, R&D, real-time operations, data interpretation, and theoretical analysis. This gathering provides a unique platform for comprehensive dialogues on interdisciplinary subjects, promoting collaboration across theorists, experimentalists, accelerator physicists, and AI/ML practitioners.

Your participation will significantly contribute to our community’s endeavors.

Best regards,

Tanja Horn, Cristiano Fanelli
